Penetration Matters

Size matters. Yes, it does, as declared by one of the most common sexual cliches. However, I argue that penetration matters more.

As an erotic masseuse, I see a lot of limp dicks. Sometimes it’s a byproduct of aging; other times, it’s caused by nervousness, and many times it’s due to blood pressure and other medications. (If there was ever a reason to cut back on salt, wouldn’t this be it?)

And so what good is a monster slong if you can’t get it IN? I know what you’re thinking…what about erectile dysfunction drugs? The word on my massage table is that those drugs will leave you feeling rotten—headaches and whatnot. The side effects are so unpleasant that many men resign themselves to a fizzled quasi-happy ending. Honestly, I’d opt for a softie rather than a raging headache.

And it’s not just men who have penetration desires. What about lovers without penises? Or heterosexual women who like both holes plugged simultaneously but prefer one partner? Penetration is a sexual common ground and you don’t need to be able to get it up, to get it in.

Luckily, sex toys abound for those looking for entry or a little extra fun. Personally, I like my sex toys to have more than one function, such as a double penetration dildo. A double penetration dildo gives the option, but doesn’t require both parts to be inserted. If you aren’t in the mood for anal, you can use one dildo. Personally, there are few days I don’t feel like using both.

Vibration is another critical aspect to consider in any penetrating sex toy. And oh, how technology has improved in this area. Gone are the days of one or two speeds. Many toys boast dozens of velocities and motions with both internal and external stimulation. Toys with clitoral stimulation guarantee a multiple orgasm evening for me.

I don’t have many regrets in life, but I do regret all the years I never incorporated toys into my sex life. I remember the first guy I used sex toys with and I would rank him as one of my best partners. He was unconventional, spontaneous, and surprising in bed. Just as it should be.

In any case, penetration is not a job left solely for body parts. Penises can be fickle; toys are not. Just don’t run out of batteries. Enjoy.
