Is there such thing as a vaginal orgasm or is it something that only seems to happen in the movies – mainstream, porn or otherwise. Some women will say emphatically no, while others will say that there’s a definite difference between a vaginal orgasm and one that is procured with the delicate touch of an index finger. Or something battery operated from all good sex shops.
Well now it looks as though scientists have finally been able to prove what that horny old devil Sigmund Freud suggested more than a century ago. His two-orgasm theory was much poo pooed and debated by therapists and scientists. However, two French (of course) scientists claim to have successfully proved him right.
Here’s what they did:
Found themselves two randy ladies and plied them with wine and pain au chocolat until they agreed to take part in the experiment* They then asked said ladies if they wouldn’t mind pleasuring themselves manually for a while by stimulating the clitoris while a wet tampon was inserted into the vagina to simulate the sensations created during intercourse, OK then…
A special machine called a sonograph along with tiny probes were used to measure the tiny changes in blood flow to both the internal and external roots of the clitoris. This revealed that during a good old flicking of the bean there was no apparent reaction or increased blood flow to the internal root of the clitoris, while the delightful wet tampon caused changes to both the internal and external root. According to the scientists known as Monsieurs Buisson and Jannini this demonstrated ‘functional differences depending on the type of stimulation.’ They concluded, therefore that it was possible to distinguish one type of orgasm from the other.
And there you have it. Proof if it were needed that women have it better than men!
