Penis size – is mine too small?

Published 12/06/2021

Reading time approx: 10 minutes

In this article we will explain everything you need to know about penis size. Among other things, how you can best measure it,  where the difference between blood and meat penis lies, and who has the edge in terms of size, internationally! So read on as it’s definitely worth it to get all the necessary information.

Probably almost every man in his life deals with the question of whether his best piece is actually big enough to heat up properly during sex, or wondering if it’s too small for the partner of his choice.

There are numerous studies in which researchers have determined the average penis size over the years, both in erect and flaccid states.  No matter how big, or even small your penis may seem, there is always a solution for every problem!

In most cases, it doesn’t make up the length at all. Well over 70% of women say in a sex survey that the scope and technique of men are much more important to them than the number of inches/centimeters.

It is also important to know that the penis size can only be measured in the erect state and thus you are better keeping your flaccid penis away from rulers and measuring tapes. When it comes to penile matters – erect is best!

Because that’s not how you get the right measurements of your best piece. And you could also scratch the ego, as well as to say nothing about the actual length of your penis. So it’s best to do the same when it comes to the average penis size.

Pressure from unnatural ideals

Apart from the fact that this is absolute nonsense and we usually do not need it at all, it is often the case that we humans involuntarily compare ourselves to others. And that’s often not so far-fetched, particularly when considering the average erect penis size.

People like to watch sex. Whether in newspapers, advertisements, the Internet, or numerous porn, to which we now even have access around the clock.

Which usually brings nothing else, except that we feel pressured and feel like emulating ideals that don’t exist.

Most men, however know this all to well, and are just as often intimidated by larger-looking penises. Whereas we women are by unnaturally slender bodies, topped with giant breasts. We are therefore familiar with these uncertainties.

It’s always about not looking the same. To stand by what you have or don’t have.  And so is the average penis.

There are so many different factors that play a role overall. And so it can happen that men compare themselves to above-average penises even in their teens, and perhaps even though their own penis is not yet fully grown.

How to measure the penis correctly

This is a crucial question as to which we hope to shed some light on the answer. From the teenage years on, most men always revolve around penis size. Is the size sufficient?

How many inches/centimetres do I have? Have I reached the average? Can I actually get a woman to come to terms with this penis during sex? Or does it simply “come” out of pity? Does my penis look flaccid even when erect? But why do men put so much pressure on themselves when it comes to penile matters?

To find out, you can easily measure it. Completely uncomplicated and without unnecessarily many materials. You just need to know exactly how. When measuring, there are few rules to follow to determine the correct penis size.

You could also get your partner to help with this, and make it fun! Don’t forget, it’s not just men who are good at using a measuring tape, women are dab hands too.

Measure only in an aroused state

Rule number one:

The penis MUST be in an erect state before you can measure it properly. This is really important to determine the exact penis length.

Rule number two:

Fingers away from any special measuring devices that just further confuse you and, if necessary, unsettle you. The only option when measuring your penis correctly is to use a ruler (or tape measure) to determine the penis size/length.

To determine the circumference, at best you can use a tape measure, which you simply put around the thickest point on the penis. So the speculation about your scope is guaranteed history.

The length is measured from the penile base to the tip of the acorn.  If you want to determine the width of your penis in addition to the size of your penis, you should choose the widest part of your penis and put on a measuring tape that offers more flexibility compared to a ruler.

The average man’s penis size

Anything less than 3.2 inches / 8 centimetres in penis size is called a micropenis.  Only a few percent of the male world have a micropenis. If you are one of them, however, you don’t need to put your head in the sand, because besides the length it depends on the circumference. If it is also not right, you still have the technique and if necessary your hands.

Communicate your problem with your partner. You are guaranteed to find a solution. It is definitely possible to experience successful and fulfilling sex even with an average smaller penis, or a micropenis. On that, both men and women are agreed.

5.1 inches / 13 centimeters is the average penis size.  This includes around 47 percent in the UK. Even if this size might seem small compared to actors, this fear is completely unfounded. Stop comparing yourself and comparing the size of their penis with what you have.

If your best piece has an erect length that is larger than 6 inches / 15 centimeters, you have overtaken most of the UK population and can appreciate yourself more than happy.

However, the length (or size) of the penis is not the ticket to everything! Technology matters, because it is the decisive thing during sex and ultimately ensures whether your partner comes to an orgasm or not.

Remember, it’s not all about the average length of penises, it’s more about how you use it.

Studies and research of King’s College

Researchers at Kings College London have looked more deeply at matter and have studied penises from around the world, in their search for the average size.

Thus, they can now use the length to tell, for example, which population in the world has the longest penises on average. In international comparisons, however, the penis was compared in a flaccid state.

Who is international with his penis size?

Other reasearch into the average erect penis size has provided similar data around how the average man stacks up internationally.

And according to this data, UK men in the study are around the average. At 5.2 inches / 13.13 centimetres, which means they can be pleased internationally. Whereas, in the Netherlands the average is around 6.25 inches / 15.87 centimetres, giving their men more of an edge on us.

According to the research, the biggest penis size on average are the men from Ecuador with around 7 inches / 17.61 centimeters. Sounds like a dream for men, but the biggest penis in the world doesn’t help you if you can’t deal with it. Penis length doesn’t matter.

And that often seems easier than it actually is. For this reason, more than 60 percent of men are satisfied with their penis. And for women, their satisfaction for the average penis size of their men, is even greater (according to the latest research).

In addition, researchers have been able to find out from studies that the size of the penis is unrelated to the length, or size, of other limbs, such as the nose, or the hands.

In short, we should not all go mad and be satisfied with what we have! Correct?

Is your best piece a flesh or blood penis?

Over 70% of men have a blood penis, which makes up a large part of the male population.

A blood penis appears rather small compared to a meat penis in an non-aroused state. But the more aroused he becomes, the more erect he grows. Because the blood flows into the penis and can sometimes increase it by five to six times.

With a meat penis, the whole thing looks a little different. Only about 20% of men have a meat penis. This is already in the non-aroused state usually already quite large. As soon as a hint of sexual energy develops, however, the meat penis only swells a little and basically hardly changes in size.

Why the right condom size is so important

We all know them. The numerous shelves in the chemist or supermarket. Full of colorful packaging that invite everyone to have sex.

You stand in front of it and are spoilt for choice between different condom sizes, different thicknesses, colors and tastes.

But what does this choice bring you if you don’t have a pale glimmer of which condom is the right one for your penis size? Nothing goes beyond a perfectly fitting condom. It protects you not only from venereal diseases, but also from unwanted pregnancies.

So by no means guess, but rather measure once beforehand. Or do you go to Ikea, buy a cover for your new sofa without knowing the dimensions? At best, your answer is no, you make sure you have all the information first.

So keep your principles in keeping with your purchase of a condom.

How to find the right size for your condom

In order to optimally protect yourself from venereal diseases and unwanted pregnancies with a condom, the width, i.e. the scope of the condom, should be correct.

You can guess them just as you can calculate the overall penis size. Importantly not only that your penis experiences an erection and thus reaches the full size, because only in this way can you determine the correct size. Logically, the condom is used when the penis is hard.

Therefore, in order to ensure your condom is the right size, refer to the paragraphs above to ensure that you measure your penis correctly. This will ensure the condom is right for your penis length.
