What Online Dating Looks Like

Thinking of online dating? You may want to read this first, especially if you’re a woman. Data Analyst, Jon Millward made ten fake OkCupid accounts to see how online dating is different for males or females. Here’s the full report.

Guys get a significantly lower amount of messages than women, who can get over 500+ emails from one site in four months. What can we take from this? Traditional markers of attractiveness are still very much alive, and women are bombarded with messages from men. Men are also seven times less likely to get a message from women who viewed his profile. How do you get through? Jon offered some recommendations to men who are online dating:

  • Demonstrate creativity, intelligence and great sense of humour
  • Be totally different to anything she may have received before
  • Be obviously unique and not a cut-and-paste job
  • Show that I’ve read her profile and absorbed facts about her
  • Not be needy!

If escorts interest you more than online dating, Jon Millward also did a study on 5000 escorts.

So there you have it, the low down on online dating. How does this relate back to Cam4? Next time you’re messaging a female performer, think about how many messages a day she sees. Get noticed and you may get rewarded, too.

Why is age/gender/orientation/country of performers not visible in the title bar of browsers anymore?
You keep ruining the site. Since the last big change half of cams won’t load and everything that took one click now takes several
