It’s just that there are different flavors of ice cream, each with their own specific qualities, flavors and textures, each with their own different levels of appeal to different palettes for different reasons. Okay maybe I’m a little racist, and my favorite ice cream is tiger tail, of which a great example is Lily Thai.
Ya know, I find this very amusing, yet slightly upsetting. Quite a few months back I got the wild idea to start my own website. I would like to thank Cam4 for giving me the courage to do that. It wasn’t a website where I was broadcasting, but had videos available for purchase through paypal. It was something new, so there was only one free teaser and two videos for purchase with a preview clip of what was in the vids. If the site took off I had big plans for revamping, including a picture gallery, much lower prices with more videos, some free content and even a request page for more personal videos for the things that I didn’t do on Cam4 (I’ve been told too often that I don’t show my ass enough).
I kept the web address in my bio, along with all sorts of other information, like my boob size, when I did shows, and other commonly asked questions. During this time I usually kept my status as “Read the bio” to help deflect repeat questions. It’s not always easy trying to type my bra size while I have both hands preoccupied, and is a bit of an annoyance to have to answer the same questions repeatedly as I’m sure other broadcasters have experienced.
Anyhow, one afternoon I was put into the pay section, without warning and to my knowledge for no reason. I emailed Cam4 and got a response stating that I was put in the pay section because I was advertising my website to make money and that any broadcaster who had a website requesting money or any paypal information in their status or bio was considered a pay member. I was also told that if I removed my website from my bio that I would be placed back in the regular performers. I asked why others hadn’t been moved into the pay section that advertised their personal sites as well, and was told that they catch it as the admins see it or as it is reported. This put an end to my willingness to do a website.
I was honestly outraged by this because your pay section states “Amateur Webcams Offering Private Sex Shows for money.” Never once have I requested money for a show, and I’ve even told my viewers that I won’t accept their money or gifts.
From that point forward I did what I felt was right and reported any paypal or personal website broadcasters as advertising (because that is what I was told I was doing), even if they were doing free shows. A few of my regular viewers did as well. One person I reported at least a dozen times before they were moved to the $ section only to create another user name.
So if I am understanding this correctly according to Cam4 TOS other webcam sites are not allowed to be advertised in any way shape or form, but we are allowed to advertise our own website. Now for some clarification, If advertising our own website and still providing free shows are we considered a pay member? Or what if we do free shows but still have a paypal address in our bio or status?

Let me clarify. I think that was said wrong. You can advertise you own personal website in your profile or in your own chat when you are broadcasting. We do not allow people to advertise other webcam sites or spam urls in other people’s chat or on other people’s comments.
What happened to you, should not have happened. If there was no webcam on your site, then no one should have moved you to the $ page. The $ page is for people that are asking for cash for private shows. It looks like you where the victim of an overzealous admin. If you want to try again, email kim@cam4.biz and she will add a note to your account so that the admins do not move or delete the account.

She’s on just about everyday spamming that same site, never doing anything else.

Laslty, I think it’s nice that you sent your employees; “Marcie”, and “Michelle27”, on vacations,lol. Please don’t deny that their employees, either. They’ve been on the site non stop, since 2008. “Marcie” is in Italy, while “Michelle27” is in the UK.

Yes there are people on Cam4 that do credit card fraud. They promise a private show and don’t deliver. When we catch them, we delete them. We post a disclaimer and warning in the $ tab for people to beware of this. These are private transactions that we are not a part of.
We never denied that Marcie was not an employee. They can take vacations whenever they like.

Jerry, we allow people to advertise their personal web pages, in your chat or profile, even if they are pay/membership sites. You are not allowed to advertise cam websites or spam other peoples chat/comments with any website.
This website is getting real bad. It freezes up to the point where you must reboot the computr. I am thinking of being a gold member, but if this site is freezing up no thanks. I will stay where I am. I wold like t broadcast my cam, not if it is going to freeze up. This started 3 nights ago and getting worce by the day.

Cam4 installed a number of new video servers just today and setup dedicated video servers for European users to increase the speed of their video as well. Hope it helps with your problem.
