Be Heard!

Published 07/05/2013

A show without sound can be very boring… even the sexiest, most creative shows may suffer without audio!

Make sure your shows are at their best by including sound in your broadcasts. Many webcams now come with a microphone built in, and many keyboards and laptops now have microphones included.

Viewers on Cam4 are much more likely to stay to watch a show when they can hear the performer. Use this to your advantage — encourage tippers by making sure to thank your tippers out loud. Your viewers will love the special attention!

Before starting your show, make sure that your microphone is turned on, and the recording volume is not too high or too low. You can ask viewers if the sound is too quiet or too loud while you’re broadcasting.

Tip: When you broadcast, always mute the window where you are watching yourself. If this window isn’t muted, the sound will be recorded by the microphone and played back into your video – looping around endlessly to cause a horrible high-pitched squeal! Broadcasting without hearing yourself may seem weird at first, but you’ll get used to it quick!

Have fun. We hope to hear you soon.
