The big news he has is that for the next year 75% of his tips are going to help the fight against prostate cancer<\/strong>. The charity he will be giving to is\u00a0the Prostate Cancer Foundation<\/strong><\/a>. He has lost too many people to this, and he could not just sit by and do nothing. So when you tip, tip big knowing that you are helping a worthy cause.<\/p>\n

How did this idea come about?<\/strong>
\nToo many close family and coworkers of mine didn\u2019t get their cancer diagnosed early enough and they didn\u2019t make it. Doing research, I found out a man is actually 35% more likely to be diagnosed with prostate cancer than a woman is to be diagnosed with breast cancer. Since many guys don\u2019t manage their health very well and delay going to get something checked out, it gets worse. So I decided to do what I could to fight this thing that is quietly killing some amazing men.<\/p>\n

Why do you feel it is good to give to charities?<\/strong>
\nWe all see things in the world we\u2019d like to fix or change, some things can only be done through government, but much of the rest can be changed through a charity. In general, charities are the most efficient use of money, mostly because they have lots of volunteers, so money only goes to things they can\u2019t get donated. They also get audited and compared all the time. Definitely the most bang for your buck.<\/p>\n

Before picking this cause did you think of other causes?<\/strong>
\nBetween honoring some great men that died from it and wanting to prevent others from the same fate, fighting this cancer was my first and only choice.<\/p>\n

Do you see yourself doing this again for another cause?<\/strong>
\nI\u2019ve committed to donating 75% of my tips for a year. Going on cam now feels even better, knowing where the money is going. It will be very interesting to see how much on an impact at that point. So ask me again next year.<\/p>\n

What feedback have you gotten from your viewers about donating?<\/strong>
\nI haven\u2019t been making it a big deal in my room as viewers aren\u2019t expecting to chat about serious issues. Regular viewers, friends, and supporters love the idea. It might be a coincidence, but my tips have been going up since I decided. I just wrote my first (of many) $500 donation to PCF.org. Writing it was surprisingly moving, but I couldn\u2019t be more excited for where it goes!<\/p>\n
