This is the best news to come back to after a long vacation! In October and Movember, we were all hard at work raising money for Breast Cancer Awareness Month<\/a><\/strong> and Movember. Thanks to every CAM4 community member who helped us promote the cause, bought the special charity gifts, and took part in #handbra day<\/a><\/strong>, we raised a total of $18k for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and the Movember Foundation.<\/p>\n

In October, $12,712 was raised for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, while an additional $5,500 goes towards Movember. Members, staff, and broadcasters with the webcam-based social networking site exceeded their $10,000 goal, and more than doubled last year\u2019s donations.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur site\u2019s social networking aspect has created such an amazing \u2018CAMmunity\u2019 of strong, sex-positive members,\u201d said Cam4 spokesperson Alison Wright. \u201cThey jumped in with both feet when we announced our Breast Cancer Awareness fundraiser, and we are absolutely thrilled with the results of our collective efforts. We are humbled by the outpouring of support by our members, and are pleased to make this donation to BCRF and Movember on everyone\u2019s behalf.\u201d<\/p>\n

Members of Cam4.com were able to purchase items from the site\u2019s pink series of virtual gifts to contribute to its fundraising effort. In addition, members held raffles for its CAM4Cares campaign and participated in its one-day \u201cHandbra Day\u201d fundraiser.<\/p>\n

Cam4\u2019s charitable efforts extend beyond awareness of women\u2019s health issues, focusing on men\u2019s health and \u2018Movember\u2019 in November. The annual global event, launched in 2004 by the Movember Foundation in Australia, involves the growing of moustaches during November to raise awareness of men\u2019s health issues including prostate and other male cancers.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This brings our second year of CAM4cares to a successful end, we beat out last year’s donations and exceeded our goals! Huge thanks to every single one of you for making this happen!<\/p>\n
