The Medvedev Girls: Russian Cheerleaders

Ever wonder what it’s like to be Dmitry Medvedev, the President of Russia? Well, one of the perks of his job is this group of Russian cheerleaders: Medvedev’s Girls. They aren’t endorsed by him or his party, they’re an online activist group who really love President Medvedev.

With the Russian legislative election happening next week, these girls are working hard to support their idol and hopefully get him more votes. They’re acting in response to the opposition’s Putin’s Army, a group of women who are encouraging other women to strip if they love Vlad. Why don’t more beautiful women get involved in politics?

They even bring him birthday cake, of course complete with a sexy, Marilyn Monroe-esque rendition of “Happy Birthday, dear President”.

Here they are in the middle of Moscow, stripping down and carried around giant pitchers of beer to protest underage drinking. Russian sex stories, like the blow up doll race and unprotected sex camp get a lot of international coverage, maybe the Medvedev girls are their way of informing the world of their political environment. Whatever the reason is, we like their version of protesting.

Wouldn’t this kind of online activism be a great way to stir up politics everywhere? Good to see the Russian youth are getting involved in politics!
