We are so excited to be joined by the fabulous, the beautiful, the incomparable Lush Librarian.   Can please let everyone know a little bit about who you are and how long you’ve been on CAM4?

Hi, everybody. I’m a librarian. I’ve been on CAM4 now for about two years.  It started as a way to break free from my church guilt and incorporate the fact that I’m a real-life librarian and my passion for literature, especially erotica.  Now it’s just grown into a really fun outlet for me to use.

We’re all enjoying this transition that you’ve made in life. It’s very exciting. Today’s discussion is, of course, all about care. When I say care and you think about this job and what it takes to do it, what things do you care about as a cam star and a content creator? What do you care about?

I guess my main value is being authentic. I think to be the best version of myself that I can be on cam, I should be doing that off as cam as well.  I must honor who I am. What drives me. I suppose, it’s all about authenticity and that helps me be a better creator.   I put my best foot forward and get into things.

Let’s talk specifically about self-care. This is a line of work where we handle all aspects of the job. I mean, the business side of it, the performance side of it. Self-care is essential. How do you know when you need to take time for self-care? What does your self-care look like?

I have learned to recognize when I am in need of self-care.   The early signs start to show.   I start getting frustrated on cam.  I can tell the second It starts to happen.   I could be on cam and someone in my room is being rude or they’re making demands or maybe even, there’s a request or something that typically I would do. It’ll rub me the wrong way. I know then, okay, it’s time to take some personal time.

When I notice that this is happening, I’ll simply thank my audience for coming and tuning in, and then just bow out gracefully.  I turn the camera off, go read a book, take a hot shower or shopping at local stores.   One thing about me, I love supporting local vendors. That’s one of my biggest forms of self-care because I feel good giving back. I’ll just take a walk and stroll around and just zone out, shut my phone off.

I think my biggest self-care tactic would be shutting off screens whenever you need.  We’re assaulted by technology. I don’t think that our poor minds are equipped to navigate this environment we’ve created. That’s big self-care for me.

Technology can sometimes create physical drain and strain of staring at screens all day. It’s something to be aware of as a creator because that is our work.

To add to that real quick, I think too, I like to get up and move a lot even when I’m on cam. I’ll grab my hula hoop or, you know, I love to dance. And overnight you think about just sitting there stagnant for so long, it’s important to get up and move.

When we talk about expanding care outwardly to our community, what experience do you have with doing that?  In what ways do you care for the others in this line of work? In what, ways have their care made an impact in your world? Talk to me about community.

I have found that the camming community really does care.   I have found it to be a beautiful thing. I found that it’s so supportive, you know, whether it’s just popping into other rooms, throw that creator a couple tokens. If you don’t have any tokens, then just give them a quick shout out, “Hey babe, you’re looking great. You’re on fire…”

The best advice I can give is to just something to boost morale. There can be a lot of negativity out there, and it’s nice to be reminded that you’re part of a community that’s there for you and paying attention. I don’t think that it’s necessarily everybody out for themselves on cam.  We’re there to make money and do the thing, but it’s also nice to see what everybody else is doing to observe and compliment their creativity.

I’ve been asked before by other creators if it’ okay if they did something that they saw me doing on camera, and I was like, “Oh my God, Yeah, you don’t even need to ask. However, That’s so sweet. That’s so flattering”. I really like that community comes from a genuine interaction between everybody.

Engage. If you’re out there camming, just engage your fellow creators. You never know what you’re going to find. So just crack the egg, let it happen, engage a little.

That’s so beautiful. And it’s so true because it is isolating work, especially when you’re a solo cam creator. You know, you spend a lot of time with yourself, maybe interacting with the anonymous onlookers in your viewing audience. But there’s value in making connections within this community, which really builds. You build an enormous wealth of love and support that it works wonders in your life.

Yeah. It really does. I’ve I never expected getting into this. I did it for me and it wasn’t even to make some side income, nothing like that. It was for personal growth and I never in a million years thought I could connect with people that; we would be able to bounce ideas off each other.  We support each other. And that’s so great.

Let’s talk big picture. This gets me very excited to even bring this to you. Do you think that your experience in the camming industry has taught you or brought you an ability to care for others that another line of work or another experience might not have?

Yes. I do believe that operating within the camming community has brought me some insight into caring for other people.  I think it’s just really appreciating other’s quirks and honoring the fact that within the realm of not harming yourself or others, everybody truly does have their stuff that makes them unique. We’re all just people that want to get off at the end of the day.

I like the sincerity and the genuine requests that I get during my shows.

Chatting with you is always such a joy. Could you please let everyone know what your schedule is, where to find you, both on the platform and on social media.

I feel like such a turd when it comes to my schedule because, you know, we do this every happy hour. I don’t have a set schedule. I do it when I’m feeling frisky. I do it when I’m feeling myself, which is part of my self-care.  When I broadcast it means I am really feeling it. Typically, it’s Saturday and Sunday mornings, early afternoon, maybe there’s like a Wednesday or Thursday evening in there.

I’m sorry, everybody. It’s a pop up. It’s a roll of the dice. But keep checking back in.

But so worth it when those two things collide. It’s just f*cking magic. Thank you so much for your insight today and for letting us into a little bit of your life philosophy. Your great!
