6th January 2012 Dear Sir/Madam Re: Save Our Shelforce Public Meeting Thursday 12th January 2012 at 5:00pm I am writing to inform you of a public meeting that is being held to discuss the future of Shelforce. The meeting is being held at 5.00pm on Thursday 12th January 2012 at The Jaguar Sports & Social Club on Chester Road in Erdington (Please see attached map). In attendance will be Jack Dromey, MP for Erdington and Lynda Clinton, Councillor for the Tyburn Ward. The meeting will be chaired by representatives from the Unison union along with Staff from Shelforce. We are keen to encourage as many people to attend this meeting as possible as a way to show support for Shelforce and to ensure that it has a continuing future for the people with disabilities that work there. At the meeting there will be a petition to sign that will be presented to The Cabinet of Birmingham City Council the following week. There is media interest in this meeting from both the local press and BBC Midlands Today, so please attend and bring your family, friends and carers to show that we are making a collective stance to protect the jobs of vulnerable adults that Shelforce empowers and enables. Please come to the meeting and bring as many people as possible. We must show a strong united front in order for our voice to be heard. Yours faithfully
